I would highly recommend to find other providers if you are taking a special needs child here. Our entire experience here has been an issue. We started in November 2023 by taking our son for an evaluation who has autism. We were told it would take up to 2 hours and to drop him off and wait nearby until it was done. We made them aware prior that he has autism and a lengthy evaluation would be challenging but they were fine . About 12-15 minutes into the evaluation they called us to pick him up and said he was not complying (shocker right?). They then had the doctor follow up with us on a video call later in the week and said her assistant would be in touch to look at other evaluation options. We never heard another peep from them and my wife followed up but never heard back. Fast forward to March 2024 they sent us a bill for $1500 after insurance covered $700. In the bill there is multiple hours of evaluations (they only saw him for 15 minutes). I assumed it was an error and would be corrected. I called them to inquire why they would bill us when they failed to deliver a service. The office manager was unable to really give specifics to the bill and comes across rude. She claimed they faxed a report to our pediatrician end of January 2024 (2 months later) and the pediatrician states they never received it. I called again to follow up and was told the owner would call me, I called again and was told yet again the owner would call me but here I am with no follow up (notice the pattern?).

I have been taking a family member to see Dr. Merilson for 10 yrs. The doctor and the staff at this office are wonderful to me and the patient.

Edit: if you are looking at this location to obtain an autism diagnosis you are better off doing a self-assessment through the RAADS-R autism assessment. A new study has been released that shows that this assessment is highly accurate and it's 10000% better than dealing with this office who won't even give you your results. I used this office for a couple of different resources. The first was for therapy for my PTSD. I saw Sharon Crane and from the start I was very much on the fence with her approach. I made it clear from the start of my therapy that I would like to retry EMDR to help with my PTSD. She told me that she was certified but did not feel that it was an effective treatment and would not pursue it with me. We ended up doing mostly talk therapy, and during a few of my sessions it became very clear that Ms. Crane was not capable of separating her personal life and opinions from my therapy. She self-disclosed too much information about her own daughter during one of my sessions, she told me to move to a different country upon learning that my political views lean more towards socialism than is currently represented in the country today, and she even compared me to a well known serial killer when I was complaining about my mom in therapy. Admittedly she did backpedal a little on the last one by pointing out that I was at least seeking help, however, the comparison had already been made by that point and I found it wildly inappropriate. I also received an ADHD/Autism assessment here (under a different practitioner). Not only did they never contact me with the results of my assessment, I had to find out from the billing codes what I was officially being diagnosed with. I have since confirmed that I do have ADHD (as the medication my psychiatrist put me on has improved my life tremendously). However, the assessment codes showed no indication that I have ADHD or autism. I was given the code for Social Pragmatic Communication Disorder, however, when looking at the differences between SPCD and ASD the only thing from ASD that didn't apply was how disruptive my symptoms are (for others, because for me they are still incredibly disruptive). I understand that maybe because of my communication difficulties I may not have been able to thoroughly explain all of my symptoms in their entirety, however, it still seems that the assessors did not take into account over 28 years of masking when reviewing my assessment. I would not recommend them for neuropsychological assessments if you are pursuing a late diagnosis for anything as they seem to only focus on the symptoms that you can obviously see, and disregard any self-reporting.

Dont waste your time with getting your love ones evaluated from this incompetent Narcissistic person. How can you give a true assessment on someone in less than four hours and say that you suspect that they are exaggerating their difficulties for some unclear personal gain, plea for help or effort to change his life circumstances in some way. You also incorrectly reported obesity where (men size 32/34) and hes the caretaker. I did not tell you that! Highly disappointed in this evaluation and so are others! I wish I had read the reviews first! Run, do not go to this place!

Sharon crane is absolutely the worst. I dont know how she is employed as a mental health counselor, let alone able to stay employed here. Fake as can be, go at your own risk.
