I was previously with Cottage to Castle home watch and it was sold to Golden Properties. Cottage to Castle provided services that were absolutely superior. Timely and professional response. They were experienced in the business and handled just about everything. Golden was so disorganized and lacked strong experience. They never responded in a timely manner. Every request was a big deal to them. They did not give us a sense of comfort. They appeared to be attempting to run the business on a 9-5 type of schedule where Cottage to Castle was available 24/7. Golden could not accommodate special requests. They walked renters through the home at arrival and departure. Arrivals were not clean enough and departures did not catch a multitude of problems. Security deposits needed to be retained, however Golden didn't discover or notice. The entire kitchen, including all dinnerware, pots, pans, appliances, cabinets, floors --EVERYTHING needed to be thoroughly cleaned. During the hurricane, they were not responsive and quite frankly rude. Gary spoke to us as if we were asking for services beyond what they were retained for and was so unprofessional and rude. They couldn't give us a day when they would review our place and we were forced to enlist the help of a friend tomdo it. It took them 2 days to even get our friends the keys. Upon getting to the home, our friend found the water main on, which it is always off when we are not here. There was minimal water in the toilets and they were dirty. There was mold all over the front door. They do not have enough experience to do this well and they lack professionalism and organization. I would not recommend at all. And by the way, the gal that recommends them, Taresa Spiroff, we had to fire her company as well, Clean Florida. Again, unprofessional work and very inconsistent. Gave them multiple times to fix and couldn't get it right. The crews would be in and out of the home in no time and skip way too many things. Provided surface cleaning at best.
