Unfortunately, my experience with this clinic was unsatisfactory from start to finish. It started with a pleasant phone call where I was told that an email with some forms that I needed to complete would be sent to me. I filled out the forms which were very detailed. They included my medical history, as well as a listing of current medication's. The forms also required an electronic signature several times over. I did not hear from this clinic for several days after sending in the forms. I contacted the Clinic and was told that they had not received the forms. They sent the forms to me again and I began filling them in again. While I was in the process of doing so, I received a phone call, indicating that they had finally found my forms. I was told that the next step would be a meeting with a nurse who would be able to tell me whether I was a suitable candidate for the clinic. I attended for the assessment with the nurse. Unfortunately, this attendance was a waste of time. The nurse proceeded to ask many of the same questions concerning my health, history of medication which had already been answered in the email I had sent in. I was seeking ketamine infusion, not for depression, but for chronic "pain" relief. The nurse was unable to answer my questions, and she indicated that her knowledge and experience was limited to the use of ketamine to ease depression. She suggested I asked my questions of Steve the owner of the clinic. I was charged $260 for the attendance with the nurse. I spoke with Steve by telephone. I use the term pain in quotation marks for the following reason. I have been diagnosed with post stroke, central pain. What I feel, on chronic basis, is a numbness and tingling in my hands. I made this clear in all of my discussions with Steve. Steve indicated that he thought I would benefit from the therapy. One concern I had was how I would know whether therapy was working. In our initial discussion by telephone and prior to the first treatment. Steve indicated that I would probably feel some relief during the initial infusion, although that relief might be temporary. On this basis, I just decided to proceed with the first session. The first session took place on February 29, and at the end of the session I told Steve that I had not experienced any relief. Surprisingly, he indicated I might feel something later in the day. I say surprisingly because he had previously told me that if I felt any relief it would be during the session. Steve suggested a second session, doubling the length of the infusion from one hour to two. This took place on March 1. Steve was present to begin the session. He was not present at the end of the session, so I was unable to discuss it with him. No improvement was felt during or after the second session. When the second session ended, I asked Steve's assistant to have Steve give me a call later that day and he indicated he would do so, I did not hear from Steve on that day or on the following Monday. I followed up with an email message to the office and a subsequent call to the office. When he finally called, Steve indicated that he did not receive my earlier messages to have him call me. I advised him that I did not feel any relief during the second session. At that point, he indicated that the problem might be that my."pain"was different than the normal pain he was used to dealing with. He asked if I would like a further session and I indicated that I had lost confidence in his clinic. I do not understand why I was told that any relief I might feel would occur during the session and I was later told that it might happen after the session and that a second session would be in order At the end of the day I have paid $1205 for no relief whatever. I would not recommend proceeding with this clinic. PS. The contradictions readily apparent in the owner's response to my review are exactly why I did not proceed with further therapy at this clinic.

I am so happy I found Dura Medical. The staff is amazing. Caroline has truly helped me become myself again after suffering so long with major depression and anxiety. Talk therapy was very helpful, but I was too exhausted to do my part after so many years of trying. Caroline utilizes EMI (Eye Movement Integration). At first, I was skeptical, but now I am amazed how much this has helped me. Everyone around me notices a difference, too.

Our Mission is to heal every patient entrusted to our care. Some experience complete remission, while most experience a reduction of their symptoms. As good as Ketamine Infusion Therapy is for Chronic Pain, it does not work 100% of the time. Current data on short term infusions indicate that ketamine produces potent analgesia during administration, while longer infusions produce longer effects. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4014022/Most people experience pain relief during their infusions. There is no way to know how long that pain relief will last because it varies from one person to the next and for different kinds and sources of pain. Unfortunately, some patients discontinue treatment too early to determine if it will help them, but we never give up on our patients.
