Finding the trauma-based, Grief Group at Project Help was like finding the missing piece to the puzzle that had become my life. Not only did the group provide a judgement-free, supportive, proper outlet where I could talk about the loss of my loved one, the trauma, and my grief, but for the first time in a long time, I didnt feel all alone in this journey. Finding people who had been through things as tragic as I had, provided an invaluable support system I desperately needed. A room full of strangers whod all suffered completely different losses, became like a family to me. This grief group family not only helped to normalize my pain and struggle, it gave us all a place where it was okay to be broken. Our real family and friends may not have understood, or may not have wanted to hear about it anymore, but (group leader) Shaina Anderson, showed us that it was okay to feel the way we felt.. It was okay to let our sorrow, pain, anger, sadness, and brokenness out. It was okay to honor ourselves, to have bad days and bad moments, but it was also okay to feel joy, love, hope, and happiness again in our post-traumatic loss world! This group changed my life, and the dark, difficult path I was on. It jump-started my healing process, more than any other therapy Id tried. It gave me the skills necessary to move forward feeling hopeful! It better equipped me to handle my toughest days, and gave me the confidence to feel less like a puddle, and more like a survivor! The road to healing is a beautiful one, thank you Shaina, and Project Help for all you did to get me here! Eternally grateful!

I am just completely disappointed from beginning to end. I had hard time getting any information on my therapist when I was assigned to her. I just wanted to know her last name so I could do research on whether she was really qualified to be helping me or not. Once assigned to her: she was drained, uninterested, she was always eager to reschedule if I missed her call and never available if I would try to reach out. She wasn't very genuine or personable and it seemed like she was just reading from a book of responses. She even just hung up during a session once and although I think she'll try to blame it on the service she was so emotionally and mentally unavailable I don't doubt that she just hung up mid session. And then didn't try to reach back out after that. If she wanted to reassigned she should have done it more professionally. That's the major complaint from the majority of the employees is the unprofessional behavior while working in such a significant field of MENTAL HEALTH. My therapist: Sydney Marmon
