POMPEII QUARTZ

Their quartz is extremely soft chips easily throughout and they don't stand behind their products. Would not use this brand.

BUYER BEWARE! I purchased 4 slabs of Pompeii Quartz for a high end kitchen remodel. I happen to have a window that overlooks my kitchen island. After the installation, it became very obvious whenever it was sunny, that there were manufacturing defects in the quartz. The defects look like oily splotches in the stone. The manufacturer send out one representative who admitted it looked bad, it wasn't the first time this rep had seen it and it was doubtful the company would do anything about it. My kitchen designer fought like crazy and the manufacturer sent a second representative who tried to blame the fabricators by saying it was etching from a chemical they used during fabrication. My kitchen designer soaked a sample of Pompeii Quartz in the same chemical overnight and it didn't show any etching at all. It is very obviously a manufacturing defect. The slabs are expensive and the company doesn't stand behind their product when defects are obvious. Buy Pompeii Quartz at your own risk!
