I just had my first 50-year-old routine colonoscopy today. I can't say enough positive things about Dr Barrios, his staff, and the process. The prep process wasn't too bad. I was instructed to not eat or drink anything the day before except for jello, broth, carbonated drinks, sugar free lemonade, water, apple juice, tea, and/or coffee. I ended up just eating jello and drinking sugar free lemonade & water. I got sick/tired of jello by the end of the day, but I didn't feel overly hungry. The clean-out process entailed taking two 1-hour cycles of 12 pills within an hour and drinking 32 oz of water during the night. I did go to the bathroom more than usual but I did not have an emergencies and I did not have any extended-stays in the bathroom On the morning of the coloscopy, the process was very streamlined and almost factory-like (in a good way). I don't remember the procedure and I did not wake up nauseous. I paid cash because I have a high-deductible insurance. I thought his prices were reasonable. I highly recommend Dr Barrios!

Took a friend to the surgical center for colonoscopy. What a sad, dingy building. Even receptionist window was dirty. I wouldnt have a procedure there no matter how highly rated the staff came. Has to be a better environment anywhere else.
