        It would have been nice to know I had Macular Degeneration before I had the expensive cataracts surgery for the special lens that was suppose to keep me from needing distance glasses. Seems the corrections was not right and I now need distance and reading glasses. Had he diagnosed the MD and realized I had it , Maybe he might have got the lens correct for the distance vision. I could have had the cheaper Medicare cataract surgery with the same outcome. Not only does he charge you for the upgraded lens, you get charged for the surgery center, and he charges Medicare for the full amount for cataract surgery. In addition Medicare gets charged for the follow up visits to the referring Doctor. I think my total was around 15K. Scam! is right!

        Scam seniors citizens. They charge $70.00 if you want your eye prescription. They say Medicare doesnt pay for the eye test. But of course this is part of the eye exam. If you dont ask for a copy of your prescription theres no charge.
