      image No longer accepts AARP Supplementary insurance... surprisingly since it is the largest provider in the USA of Supplementary insurance & a United Healthcare Co. provider.
      I cancelled any appts scheduled w/this provider & select the many other medical providers in my area that accepted my insurance.

      Allan,It is strange that you would rate my business based on which insurances I accept and not the level of care you have received in my office. We are still a Medicare provider so we can bill your claims to Medicare who will then send it to your secondary/supplement plan. It is our policy, as a courtesy, to notify all of our patients that we are not in network with United Healthcare and their affiliated networks in the event that they do not pay a billed claim. You were more than welcome to request additional clarification from my office manager as to the specifics of this change and how it would ultimately affect you instead of cancelling your appointment and disparaging my business. Since we have gone out of network with them, we have seen no impact to the patient in claims being paid by AARP as a supplement to Medicare. You would have known this with a conversation instead of a negative review.
