Years of fun and games as our CPA business grew ( 1972 til 2007). We expanded and grew fast. Only to be destroyed by an illegal behind the scenes effort by someone to sick the IRS on my case costing the loss of a growing business and two dozen jobs and killed by an IRS effort that would cost a couple million to win - and then win what? - the practice was successfully destroyed and dead by the IRS. For a corollary - find out what happened to Arthur Andersen, CPAs etc. AA won when the case finally got to the US Supreme court by a rare 9-0 reversal - but firm was dead and thanks to some of Arthur Andersen's partners they sued and 9 years after the damage was done with all the clients abandoning their hold as the top CPA firm in the world the Supreme Court Reversed the action against AA. I could have also - but did not have the millions it would take to appeal the IRS action.
