This company is the financial manager of my condo association.  While they are prompt and knowledgeable, they are operating using twentieth century technology while all others accounting firms use far more advanced 21st century services.  For example, I cannot access my personal account with the condo association on-line.  Further, I cannot pay my quarterly fees or other charges using electronic payment, either with a credit card or direct charge from my personal checking account.  I believe this is the only service provider I have who hasn't moved to electronic payment.  It is time for them to make some investment in technology.  As the prior reviewer noted, they are very dependent on a few people.  Workforce or office disruption would result in operational disruption.  If the firm doesn't advance to the 21st Century quickly, it will be time to look for a new provider.

This bookkeeping firm has kept our HOA's books for thirty years. The last time I asked, perhaps a year ago, they did the bookkeeping for over 100 other associations in the greater Naples area. This gives Steve Hart, the principal, great insight into what various goods and services associations typically purchase cost. His prices are reasonable and his service is great. When I was first elected president of the Villa Mare HOA ten years ago, I greatly appreciated his knowledge of what had happened over the previous twenty years, plus the fact that he had the last eight years of accounting records on his laptop. My greatest concern recently was that there was no one in his firm with his deep knowledge of his clients. He too was concerned about this, and so has been training a potential replacement, Dolly Smith. She accompanied him to budget workshops for a couple of years and now has the knowledge to lead them. This is a great resource for any HOA, but especially for those who have relatively inactive boards or boards with high rates of turnover.
