Heron Cay

Great location for walking to downtown, the price is expensive for what you get and the conditions of the property. There is no view to the lake because of trees. This property had better days and the rooms were very dirty, lots of dust and even personal items from someones else in one of the drawers. The lady doing the breakfast and managing is sweet and nice, but the place needs better maintenance. It was a disappointment for me after reading the good reviews. For me cleanses is number 1 priority and this place fail by far!

Absolutely enjoyed my stay! Marjory and her family welcomed me with open arms and accommodated all of my needs. My room was gorgeous and quiet. Homemade pecan bread coupled with a hot cup of coffee in the morning.. hm mm. Highly recommend this experience

I had to cancel a reservation due to family emergency. I sent a deposit. Was told that it would never expire. When I tried to reschedule. Was told I had to schedule for 2 days. I only wanted 1 day. The owner said she was going to charge me for not scheduling for 2 days. 20% of my deposit. Is that fair? I also called to make the reservation, told she was with someone and would call me back. She never called me back. I called her 2 1/2 hours later. Not a good thing. When I asked for a refund, she asked for my credit card number but hung up on me before she got it. She was mad because I was not happy that she was forcing me to schedule for 2 days. So do I get my money back? $153.00. Now I got a text that it's a 25% charge. Seriously!! I should charge her 25% for not being able to accommodate me!!! Wondering for I would of gotten a full refund when I canceled instead of trusting her when she said my deposit would never expire, she didn't say that I would be charged if I didn't meet her requirements.
