The staff is incredible. They took great care of my Dad! The facility could really use a facelift. A separate chapel area and a safer outdoor walking area is greatly needed.

This rehab facility is terrible and in disrepair. My father was here after being discharged from the hospital to regain his strength via pt. I would go to see my father everyday, in the first week I begged to speak to a doctor so that I could understand what his care plan was and what the criteria for success was. I was told that I could only talk to a doctor if I happened to be there when they made their rounds, once a week! Each week it was a different doctor and no one person was looking at his overall care plan. I expressed concern that my father was unable to eat, was bleeding from the mouth constantly and complaining about abdominal pain (when he could). As my father continued to wither away, they kept telling me and my mother that we had to get him to eat. We tried everything, and begged for help. By the time they sent him to the emergency room next door, his bowels were so impacted that his bladder had been restricted. This caused his kidneys to fail and sceptic shock. Additionally he had pneumonia in both longs and fluid build up around his heart causing congestive heart failure. My father was a strong proud man. A simple pelvic exam could likely have given him several more years with us. Instead they took his dignity, and let him spend his final days on this earth starving to death and in a great deal of pain. They didnt listen, because they didnt care. If a loved one ends up in this place, fight to get them moved and have your voice heard.

If I could give 0 stars I would - my perfectly healthy, independent mother died as a result of negligence at this facility - she was exhibiting signs of a stroke for 3 days before they sent her to ER - an ER which is within walking distance of this horrible place.  She came in to rehab before returning to her house following a hip surgery - she was only there 4 days before she had a stroke - she complained of feeling lightheaded and having a sudden floppy arm - and they told her she couldn't raise her arm because of her pain medication and then when she started to have trouble breathing they just put her on oxygen - the nurses and Dr. Donchey did not help an obviously stroking patient FOR THREE WHOLE DAYS - she died as a result of their negligence - they need to be investigated and shut down by the state.  I've filed a complaint with Medicare, the FL Agency for Healthcare Administration, the FL State Board and every FL agency that I can find.  Medicare still lists them as a 5-star facility.  They are killing their patients out of sheer neglect, incompetence and under staffing.  SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN
