12-15-2023: This is a nice area with the possibility of seeing wild horses and Bison. Today, I was only fortunate enough to see three Bison, but they did not provide any good opportunities for photos. Even the turtle would not let me take any good photos. I do plan on returning and will update this review.

We didn't see the bison or wild horses but still an interesting hike. Playground: No playground Restrooms: No restroom

Bolen bluff trail is my favorite place. It is not wheelchair accessible though and even walking with a walker or cane it is a fall risk so please be careful. This time of year it is not flooded all the way to the observation deck but just a month ago it was. Some of the trail is in the shaded woods but about a half mile is wide open prairie and super hot ( but duh its florida in July) We were able to see the bison and wild horses. I have an 800mm lens so I was nowhere near the animals. I must say I saw a few people trying to get too close for iPhone photos and these animals are wild so that was worrisome. A wheelchair just wont work though. Which is sad for those who need that accessibility .I just wanted to post that because when we first went I had a fractured shin and there was no way to get my chair even through the narrow pass through walkway to enter. Now that I can walkfavorite place
