Publix is always a great place to buy groceries.
They have a lot of variety of produce. Always fresh.
Nice people.. always clean..
By the way the sandwiches made to your own taste

I am very disappointed on how they are handling the safety of the puplic! Today, the baker was handling goods with his bear hands, and when I call his attention he said, don't worry, this will go in the oven and kill everything! I was so upset, especially on his attitude, that I brought it to the managers attention, only to be told that it is normal procedure!!! Then I see him handling baked bread with the same hands. At no time he washed his hands while handing everything with his hands including the utensils. Under normal times it is required to wear gloves, today, if you don't wear gloves it's criminal! After the management downplayed the concern, he put gloves on. The supermarket has created one way aisles for safe distancing, yet, the employees of the supermarket do not honor their rules. They walk up and down, next to you and its hard to go by, as it will be wrong to turn back. On the check out registers they marked the 6 feet distance and placed plexiglass to protect the cashier, yet the cashier next to you is about 1 foot or less away. They should skip a lane, something that I brought to the attention of the manager and I was happy to see it in the next days, but, they soon forgotten. They have bunched all cashiers together. I know this is extreme, but, we live in extreme circumstances and it will be comforting to know that your supermarket makes real efforts to protect their customers and do their best to keep you safe instead of putting up a front. Publix of 56 Street and 157 Avenue, SHAME ON YOU!!!
Update January 2022.
I see new faces in all departments. I still feel that this location needs improvement. It is NOT as good as other Publix. Perhaps upper management needs some training. They have developed a comfort zone that does not benefit the customer. It appears that they are doing us a favor. Sad!
