I LOVE THIS SCHOOL BECAUSE I HELP KIDS WITH SPECAL NEEDS
    Jun 3rd, 2022

  • Aileen Rivera

My daughter has down syndrome and this is her second year at the school. It is an environment to develop each child to the fullest with an individualized curriculum to work with each child. The teachers sit down with each child to work and observe what are the most efficient ways for the child to achieve their goals. With music classes and etc. My daughter even on vacation wants to go see her teachers because they are more than teachers, they have a vocation and a commitment to each of their students. I'm not going to lie, all mothers want the best for our children and we always have the fear that they will receive bad treatment and even more so in my case that she hardly spoke. But I allowed myself to trust and I am very satisfied with the results. I would choose this school again and again, just for my daughter's smile every morning on the way to school. She says: mommy I'm so happy only mothers in my situation will understand how my heart jumps with happiness!!!

Parents beware they charge you 100.00 for an evaluation that is non refundable. Then they tell you your child is approved and start the registration process. My son has a Gardiner Scholarship that covers over 11,000.00 and they calculated that I needed to pay 450.00 a month in tuition I am a single mother with a fixed income and cannot afford that monthly tuition payment. Beware this doesn't happen to you. I will never recommend this school to anyone in the Autism Community. They don't care about helping families with special needs children all they care about is your money. Beware Beware Beware.

My daughter has been with GHA for almost 7 years now. They welcomed her and our whole family. Her academic improvement has been amazing. She has develop a sense of independence through the CBI program. Communication between teacher and parents is very open. More than all of that we trust them and they have become a great support in this journey.

Business Response on Google Dec 26th, 2020
Good afternoon Ms. Quinones,Once again I apologize that you are in a very difficult situation. When we sat down for the tour I went over our program in great detail, you received our packet which had all of our information including the evaluation fee and fees and financial policies, in writing. There were never any hidden fees. I even provided you with a discount, given your situation. You had no problem in the meeting and decided to bring your son in for the evaluation. It wasn't until he was accepted that you let us know you could not pay and demanded a bigger discount, if not you threatened to ruin our school's name for being "too greedy."I wish we would have been able to offer you a bigger discount, as you have a great son and we would have loved to have worked with him. Unfortunately, the Gardiner Scholarship is not enough money to cover all of the expenses it takes to run a school, keep our ratios low, retain and hire great teachers and assistants, and provide tons of extracurricular activities, so we do rely on the parent support as well. I hold no hard feelings and I wish you and your son nothing but the best of luck in the future and I hope he finds a good school that is able to meet his needs.
