Awful customer service, they never pick up the phone

I want to share my very positive (and not unique) experience with our local USPS office. A few people were standing ahead of me this morning. Yet, with the help of both USPS workers it moved swiftly. I had to find the best option to send an important international mail and Steve, after greeting me with a smile, was very kind and helpful to do so.

It's no coincidence that this Post Office has a rating of 1.9 at the time I write this. Some of the new staff are just rude/horrible customer service. Today, I waited over half an hour in line just for someone who claims to be the manager to tell me that she is unable to accept cash, even if I have exact change. Whether this is a stupid policy or a stupid staff member or both, I have no idea, but it's absurd that I can't pay a manager with exact change at a Post Office.

Arrived at post office Yesterday 3/18/24 about 1:30 pm . Three employees standing at the Counter socializing. Employee number one says something to the woman in front of me then disappears along with the other two employees. Employee number two recognizes somebody in line and makes a joke. Hes still on the clock while hes walking into the back room. 10-15 minutes go by - line grows. Another customer shouts in the back. Cant somebody come help us? Employee number one comes out He says our computers are down. And Im working by myself now my supervisor just left . He said he told everybody in line And addresses me directly you didnt hear ? What group. No, I did not. I was standing several feet behind the woman. Not rude but dismissive. Left and mailed my package at United parcel service .
