You couldn't be in better hands, thank you Dr. Burks for such an amazing care! I had an extensive and one should say not so easy spine fusion surgery with Dr. Burks recently, I don't think I will ever be able to completely express my gratitude, I can not find enough words, Dr. Burks is not only a man of science, an incredible surgeon with a carefully selected support team, but an amazing human being who cares for his patients and their needs from the day you meet the first time, we will do as he promised or otherwise send you to another specialist who may be able to help you, that is honesty and integrity as a doctor and a human being who cares for a person in need of help. I can only say THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME STAND TALL AND STRAIGHT AGAIN, pain free after over nine hours (9) in the O.R., May God bless you and keep wise, kind and true to yourself and your patients

After suffering w/back pain for years & seeing Dr.s in NY & Miami i finally found the best on MiamiI finally found Dr Burkes. He is understanding, compassion give you time you need patient very knowledgeable. Answers all questions and put me at ease.. He did ACDF 9/23/24. After surgery that debilitating pain in arm , shoulder and back gone! I follow all instructions given.Hi He is Godsend, An Angel to me just when I was losing hope he he uplifted me. I recommend 1000%.

Dr Burks is one of the best doctors/surgeons I have come in contact with. His initial appoint was amazing, his staff made me feel comfortable and they thoroughly analyzed my movements/ imaging results. Dr Burks explained everything clearly. I ended up needing a microdiscectomy at the age of 29, which he performed. The surgery went perfectly and I went from not being able to walk the morning of surgery to walking fine on my own coming out of surgery the same day. After surgery he was available and supportive every step of the way. I ended up going back into the hospital about a month after surgery (for reasons unrelated to my spine or the surgery in any way) and his whole team was there every day checking on me. If you are considering any neurosurgery, please consider Dr Burks. I cannot express enough how thankful I am for him.

Excellent surgeon. Had Piriformis Surgery and didn't have to take any pain medication after surgery it healed perfectly. He personally called to check on me a couple of days after surgery from his personal phone and offered to be available if needed. Looking forward to the full healing of my psiatic nerve.

I had my Femoral hernia repaired last year at a general surgeons office last year not affiliated with Dr. Burks office. I started having pain in the same area that was operated and for 6 months I went to several specialists in hopes of obtaining a diagnosis as to why I was having pain. I was referred to Dr. Burks after 3 pain blocks that did not help me and with a diagnosis of nerve entrapment probably as a result of the femoral hernia repair and scar tissue. Dr. Burks took the time to listen to me, evaluate my situation, and research my particular symptoms. We ultimately decided that the best option for me was to cut the affected nerve and to relieve the trapped nerve. His staff was awesome in obtaining the insurance approvals and scheduling my procedure ASAP. My wife and I are so glad that I went to Dr. Burks because he was the only one that was able to help me after 6 months of continuous pain. I highly recommend anyone with a similar issue as mine to make an appointment with Dr. Burks. He is an excellent surgeon and a kind person. Thank you Dr. Burks!
