Quest Diagnostics

I went to QD on 10920 Biscayne Blvd in Miami and my patient rights were violated. Due to an underlying condition, I requested that my Accessory Cephalic (AC) line NOT to be accessed (easily bruised and extremely painful when done so). Unfortunately, Mercedes violated my request after I VOCALIZED and POINTED OUT to go above/below, left or right of my AC line. NOT ONLY did she NOT gain access the initial attempt, but she also had to wriggle it (more painful) to do so. The 2nd tube took longer for blood to be drawn. I spoke to Janeth and Andy (site lead) who gave a poor rhetoric that she doesn't speak English well (thus why I pointed where to go initially). I will definitely look into reporting this incident to the Florida Dept of Health.

Today was my second time visiting this location and both experiences went very well. I booked appointments both times so my service began promptly each time. The office is visibly new, clean, and organized. What made my visit this time extra special was my fantastic phlebotomist, Rosemary. She was so friendly, personable, and informative. Its almost rare to come across such a kind person these days so I wanted to highlight the star that she is. Thank you, Rosemary!

Their phone doesn't work, if you call any other site nearby you get rerouted to a NY number. No appointments, pretty chaotic, but they have deals with all the local doctors so you have to use their services. No surprises.

This lab is a perfect example of why a reception staff is still necessary. They rely entirely on a dysfunctional computer system. Many patients, including the elderly, are unable to use the computers and no one is there to help them, which can result in unreasonable wait times and missed appointments.

Overbooked, disorganized, and unprofessional. Had to wait over 30 mins just to drop off a specimen sample. Phlebotomist forgot to give me enough sample cups for all of the tests ordered and made me go to the restroom to divvy up one of the samples myself! (I had the same procedure done at another Quest location and was in and out in 5 mins, no hassle.) Also had to wait over 30 mins (with an appointment) the previous day and watched 5 walk-ins get turned away despite having waited there long before me.
