I met Ms. Minerva Salles two years ago when she joined the Coral Gables Rotary Club. Just a few months after joining the club, she was nominated to serve as the Chair of the Membership Committee, a critical component of our organization. Her service has been exemplary. Last year, she received the "Rising Star Award" from our club for all her contributions. In particular, her "How to Be a More Confident Speaker" presentation was one of the very best I have ever seen. I told her at that time that I did not know how she could have been better. She did not utter the word "uh" once, never misspoke, and logically built her topic to its maximum peak and extremely effective conclusion. I told her she is a true master of the craft. Being both a past member of Toastmasters International and a chief of a 900-member police department, I believe I am somewhat qualified to make that assessment of her public speaking skills. Minerva Salles' combination of intelligence, commitment, perseverance, creativity, and sympathetic character, along with her poise, makes her a very valuable asset to any company or organization fortunate enough to be able to add her to their team.

Minerva, thank you for your great presentation yesterday at the IERG Dallas Chapter on Improving Communication skills. It was really stimulating and you gave us great ideas on how to improve this critical subject for the benefit of our businesses.
