Tropical Meat & Fish

Writing this review for my 73 year old mom who called me in tears."Living in this neighborhood for over 35 years, I've visited this market several times throughout the years, never again. Their lack of customer service is appalling and sad. I went into the store for a few items while I waited for my prescription to be filled nearby. I ended up spending over $93.00, after picking up my medicine I realized I didn't have the beansprouts I needed to make my fried rice. It cost $1.79, I really wanted it and it was on my receipt, so I went back to the store to see if maybe I'd left it at the cashier's station. I was very unprepared for the way I was treated by the cashier and the person left in charge that day. I took my receipt and explained the situation, they both behaved as if I was trying to get something fraudulently. The supervisor told me she would have to look at the camera, I couldn't believe of all the items I had on the receipt, they were behaving this way for an item that cost $1.79. It was very embarrassing and I really was taken aback at their accusations. The lady in charge told me to bring back all the items to prove the receipt was mine!!!! I try to support my neighborhood stores instead of going to the big chains, but it is instances like this that turn me off from them. Beware of the stores that don't have good customer service and a good management hierarchy in place."
