image Hotel is filthy, dirty, nasty asked for a different room after seeing the carpet in first room Second room had lots of thick blood all over the floor, along with the general filth.
Asked them to vacuum first room, vacuum obviously doesnt work still covered in hair, nails, dirt.
Excuse is well the hotel is due for renovation, renovations have nothing to do with filth.
While I appreciate a response, carpet being dirty is a staff and equipment problem not a renovation issue. A couple $100 shark vacuums and a steam cleaner would fix 1/3 of the poor reviews here. How does needing a renovation cause blood, dirt and filth? You can have a clean old hotel, Ill give you Sand Castle Resort in Lido beach as a prime example of a clean hotel needing renovation.
Rooms: Gross, filthy.

image Great front desk staff, terrible hotel to stay at UNTIL after renovations are done.
Room was just super gross. We walked in and my wife said "I don't want to stay here". The carpet was sticky on the feet -- we instructed our 4 kids to mostly just stay on the beds because of how disgusting the floors were -- and very stained carpeting. Sheets on the beds were clean, but when we folded out the couch we went to the front desk to ask the employee to look at it. It was really disgusting (many different colored stains, and was just a bare mattress, no mattress protector or sheets on it when we folded it out). Gross enough that we just asked for ample extra sheets and made a makeshift bed on the [disgusting] floor for one of our children to sleep on. Bathroom was pretty dank as well with lots of gaps in tiling that should be filled with grout, but were instead filled with mold. We tried to find an alternative place to stay that night, but being Spring Break, we were unsuccessful, so we did stay that first night as opposed to sleeping in our rental car. We were grossed out enough by the room that we passed on partaking in the free breakfast.
Destiny at the front desk was super sweet, apologetic, and helpful. She wanted to do more to help us, but the hotel was booked solid. She was going to switch us to another room the next day, but we refused. She did tell us that they have a massive renovation that is far overdue scheduled for this year, but that didn't change our own experience staying there.
