My mom just passed away today after one week under your care. My mom and I appreciate your concern and support, you really made us feel part of the family we always wanted to have. Thank you guys, God bless you.

My dad has been at North Shore Vitas Unit for one month with Covid. The first few days were hard because there was a problem with the phones and call buttons. After speaking to SIlvia, one of the administrators, the problems were resolved. The administrators, Silvia and Judy, have been extremely caring and helpful. They call to check up on us and give us updates on my dad. The nurses that we've mostly dealt with, Delia, Olga, Jeanette, Luly, and Luis are compassionate, caring, and overall wonderful. I call several times a day and they are always willing to speak to me. Sometimes, they even call me on Facetime so that my dad can see me and speak to me. Although this month has been hard on my dad and our family, the staff at North Shore Vitas has made it a little better to deal with. Thank you for all that you do!

This place is absolutely terrible! My grandfather is currently there with his wife. They both have Covid. With the exception of one nurse (Delia), it has been a terrible experience. He was having a cough attack, needed water as they did not give him any until he started literally screaming for help. By this point, it was 3 hours later. The phone in his room doesn’t work, the light in her room doesn’t work. They can’t can’t get a hold of a nurse since the “call nurseâ€. buttons in their rooms don’t work, the switchboard doesn’t work. There’s no way of family knowing how their loved ones are doing unless they have a cellphone. A doctor hasn’t been by and today is their third day there. They will paint you a beautiful picture and promising 100 things which are all false! The hospital and Vitas’ staff are a complete joke. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS TO GO THERE!
