After easy all the great reviews I was excited to call and set an appt for JG to come out and give me an estimable. We set up the appointment for a couple days after my initial call - JG came out measured and told me I'd have an estimate in a day or two. After the third day I emailed and JG responded right away and said he was working on it ---- sadden to say that it's been over four weeks and nothing. I guess it's a Miami thing.

After searching for over a year for a hardscaping company in Miami, with good reviews, and a good web site with plenty of photographs of completed work that I could see, I finally found JG at Miami Brick Contractors, Inc. JG came to my home to discuss ideas for a 15 by 30+ ft paver patio underneath a new pergola in the side yard next to our pool, and a 4 by 30ft matching walkway. JG was prompt, professional and very helpful with information, ideas and suggestions. I received an emailed estimate very soon after we met. It took me a few weeks to start the installation, because I kept tweaking my design, and had to ask JG to come back out a few times, before we finally had a great plan, and he graciously returned every time I asked, so we could discuss the plans further, until I was happy with every aspect...and even then, we tweaked the design some more while he did the installation, making it even better than the original design. I chose a French pattern with Ivory Travertine, with matching border. My side yard was a challenge because it sloped so much and had to be built up over a foot at one end. After the pavers were all laid, we decided to have JG build up to grade, the large sloping area that ran along the walkway. He brought in a sand/dirt mixture, leveled it out, and topped it with sod. The finished product was nothing less than stunning. What a transformation to my yard! JG and his crew always arrived on time and always gave 200%. We look forward to working with Miami Brick again, to install a smaller patio on the other side of the house. JG is a true Artisan and perfectionist with a work ethic that you seldom find anymore, (especially here in Miami). We are so grateful to have found JG and Miami Brick Construction, and are thrilled with the results.

I'm kind of surprised there aren't any reviews for this company on Yelp. I'm happy to be the first. I only write a review when i feel strongly one way or another about a company. This is one of them and I feel good about them so I'm writing this as I think it's hard to find honest good companies in S. Florida so I want to do my part. Briefly, I contracted Miami Brick two years ago to do a large job putting down pavers in my backyard. John George (JG) the owner came out, gave me an estimate (I think it was a fair price) and gave me some suggestions as to where to look for the pavers. I ended up getting a good deal from one of the places. I don't think there is a kick back situation here since the place I bought the pavers from didn't ask me if I was referred or anything. JG and his crew came out promptly on day one, prepped the site and then the pavers were delivered and set up in the back yard. On day two, they again came out at the time they promised and worked all day until the job was completed. It came out beautifully. Fast forward two years later. A section of the paving job had begun to sink in and become unlevel. I don't know why.  I contacted Miami Brick and they graciously agreed to come out and fix it for no charge. They told me customer satisfaction was very important to them. I appreciated that very much. They indeed did come out as promised and at the time they promised and fixed the problem. I certainly would recommend Miami Brick. They are straightforward, no nonsense, fair, and want to make sure you are satisfied with the work....even two years later.
