STAY AWAY!!!! TLDR: Bait and Switch, they give you a low estimate so you schedule a service call. You probably won't do the repair with them but they just made $89 in a 5 minute visit. I called because I was getting an F35 error code on my oven. I told the agent (Gama) that I thought one board in my double oven needed to be changed (I googled the error code). I gave him the part # to my oven and he quoted me $300 including tax and labor. He said that there was an $89 service call fee. The service call fee would be included in the price of the repair if I decided to mover forward. He was clear that it was an estimate and it could be a little more or a little less so I agreed to schedule a service call. When the service tech came out, he agreed that my oven needed a new board. He then told me it was going to be almost $900 ($898 I think). I told him I wasn't going to do that and I refused to pay for the service call because I wouldn't have agreed to have them come out if they would have quoted me that amount over the phone. The technician didn't have the authority to waive the fee for the service call so I called the office number and was on the phone with someone else who said Gama was busy. I told her my issue and she asked me to hold for Gama. Eventually Gama got on the phone and said that he had quoted me for a sensor not a board. He said he had the call recorded and he will send me a copy. I'm still waiting for the copy. BTW, I don't know why anyone would pay $300 to replace a $15 part that takes 3 minutes to change with a screwdriver, but that's not relevant here. If I ever actually get the recorded phone call. After listening to it, if I think that I misremembered the conversation (I doubt it I always take notes and did this time) and Gama was quoting me for a sensor not a board. I'll change my review and pay the service call. In the end, I wasted my entire morning over a $89 charge. I probably ruined the techs day and it wasn't his fault. It's not about the $89, it's the principle. The actual quote was 3X the estimate I was given over the phone, that's just not cool.
