The internet is a jumbled mess of contradictions on Medicaid issues, but David was encyclopedic in his knowledge. I am so impressed and appreciative of the time he took to help. Extremely impressed doesn't cover it. A truly kind person.

Feel ripped off.. I had this law firm draw up paperwork for both medicaid and POA for both my mother and aunt. Within 3 weeks of paying for the services my aunt passes away before being able to get the paperwork signed. Fast forward 2 months , my mothers health declined and had many ER visits and finally ended in hospice care the last 4 days before passing. Thankfully I did get the paperwork signed by my mother a couple months prior and obtained POA which helped with the hospital decisions etc. The only services that I received from the Jacoby team was Durable Power of Attorney with health care surrogate for my mother. I paid in total 18K for both of them to get medicaid and POA and only had the opportunity to only get a small fraction of what I paid for. I called the office and had a phone conference with David's partner and he said they don't issue any refunds or anything since this is a flat fee. He did offer to help me with a living will which doesn't help me much since I am the only child and have no relatives or children to leave my assets to. I feel that these two attorneys have no concern about peoples loved ones when they pass away before receiving services paid for. I was not expecting a full refund or repayment but you would think they would feel compelled to make the situation right considering the large amount of money spent and so little in return that was provided. I hope they read this and contact me to work things out because I know bad reviews make a negative impact on their business. I am willing to make it this review a 5 star if they would refrain from being the typical stereotypical Lawyer that's all about the money and have some sympathy and dignity for us fellow humans.
