Our experience at Holmes Regional Medical Center during the birth of our baby boy was exceptional, largely due to the incredible care provided by nurses Allison and Angelina, alongside the expertise of Dr. Comacho. Their exceptional dedication, care, and knowledge stood out remarkably. Allison and Angelina's attentive and compassionate care made a significant difference, while Dr. Comacho's expertise and guidance were invaluable. Their contributions were pivotal, adding an extra layer of reassurance and support during such a special time. The teamwork and professionalism of these outstanding individuals truly made our experience memorable.

If you do not need to give birth here don't. My ob exclusively delivers here and we had heard good things. My water broke so we came in A few hours after coming in they put us in the birthing suite. This room was nice and large. I was given medication to start helping my contractions. The nurse said she would be in every 30 min to check on me and up the dosage. She'd come about every hour to hour and a half and whatever dosage she missed She'd just up it by that much. My contractions got very close together because of this and i was not dilated and we had to insist on lowering the dosage. You aren't allowed solid foods I was told I could have broth took the nurse over an hour to bring that to me. After giving birth they move you out of the nice room into a hole in the wall. There were no visitor chairs and barely enough room for myself my husband and the baby. Even the nurses kept saying they hate these rooms. There was either old blood on the tiles in the bathroom all along the wall behind the toilet or they were completely stained with blood. Our room had 1 window which was mostly blocked off. The air vent also blew directly onto the baby making her cold and you couldn't move her due to there being no other room in the room! After going through labor my body was shaking and i could not pee. I was told I would need to be cathetered. I asked for 10min just to relax after pushing a baby out to try to pee. Nope couldn't get that so I did need it but the charge nurse as I'm walking trying to pee comes dancing around the corner waving the kit in my face and said "i thought this would give you motivation". As if I hadn't just had a baby and been trying to pee to avoid it. Then the cathetered my freshly stitched vagina as I'm crying in pain.

Their triage area is not well. Came in for pressures pains everytime the baby pressed down was told it was caused by a UTI after confirmation to be dilated enough for admission with potential induction I was not admitted because my contractions stopped and I was sent home based on the symptom that was found and contractions not being too close together or water breaking had to be sent home. Came back the next day for pressure every time the baby moved, instead of being checked I was told it was Related to the findings of yesterday and was sent another Rx to my pharmacy without checking to see if the dilation has progressed because not every womans body will react the same and not every woman's water will break on its own same with contractions that is why some women need to be induced. I was so upset that the only way for me to be checked was to complain about my experience so that what I was coming in for could be reiterated to the doctor who was willing to check me to see if there could possibly be any slight change THAT WAS ALL I WANTED was to see if there could be a possible change in dilation that would cause me to be admitted or sent back home with a clear mind. But no I had to get upset in order for that to be determined or not. There should also be more than one Triage provider rather than just ONE because the wait time is long because of that small minor detail. This doctor has seen me before and he is a very nice doctor however my third encounter was not pleasant.

The nurses and doctors here are great; super attentive, well informed, and take all your concerns into consideration with your care. The suites are quite nice also. The only con with the suites would be the fold out bed
