My nephew has had 3 facial injuries in a matter of 2 months & the staff told us the reason they cant show us the video footage is because of the privacy of other children. But the last incident we were told there were no children involved and he ran into a wall and they still wouldnt show us any video footage. Not only that but he is always sick. He has had 3+ viruses back to back. In the end, they removed my nephew because we broke the trust. STAY AWAY FROM HERE

The management at this facility is awful and it almost seems as they do not value the safety of the children.

EDITED TO ADD: PARENTS COMING TO LEAVE A GOOGLE REVIEW FOR THE raffle ask yourself why now. Have they ever done this before? Or is this a new creative way to move down a review that they feel doesnt reflect them in a positive light? They gave us a half week credit for what was done to my daughter. Theyre willing to give you a 2week credit to help cover it up. It could be your child too. I only posted to warn other parents because I dont want those sweet babies getting treated the way my girl was. I want to ensure I share my experience with Coral Reef Academy on Stack Rd with other parents. On Wednesday, April 13, 2022 I witnessed my daughter get her face shoved by the back of her teachers hand at Coral Reef Academy on Stack Rd. The teachers name is Jessica and shes one of the ones Ive seen float between rooms. My daughter is 3 years old. Teacher initially denied what I saw but admitted it and the incident was reviewed on camera and verified by admin. My daughter was sitting upright in her seat and had reached for something on the table that she wasnt supposed to for the first time when this occurred. The director was immediately notified. They never questioned me and only asked if I was going to take my 1 year old son home with me too. I was very angry and upset and was treated with respect to the best of their ability. I believed they conducted themselves professionally at that moment. Later they admitted that what I saw happen, is what happened. It was witnessed by them on footage and teacher admitted. Step 1 was my children were never going back there. We asked for a refund for the week, they gave us a partial credit to include the date of the incident which we appreciated because we had to find alternative care. They wrote up an incident report for us and stated that while redirecting child, teacher moved childs head to the side lightly with her hand. Coral reefs new motto should be if its light, its alright. because this teacher wasnt fired. She was given extra training. If the 45 hr training they do annually didnt keep her from putting her hands on my daughter, idk how this training is supposed to. I contacted DCFS who said it doesnt meet the criteria for further investigation. I contacted the police who said they couldnt charge the teacher for putting her hands on my child. Id also like to add that upon origionally registering her, they told me AFTER I had already withdrawn her from her previous daycare that we needed to have her potty trained. We got her potty trained in a week. Which we were proud of her for. Within two weeks of enrollment, we were warned that she may be sent home for disrupting nap time. Almost immediately the next day or two they began calling us to pick her up due to this. The following week we were told theyd work with us until she found a new daycare. A few days later we were served with termination papers due to this issue. My children were not at this daycare for longer than a month. Id like to say much, much more but Ill just leave you all with the facts and leave out the many emotions that have come as a result of this incident. Edited to add: in their response below they said that the teacher has been there a year. A whole year. Thats how long it took her to get caught putting her hands on a child inappropriately. I verbatim stated their depiction of the incident. And they said they dont feel its accurate. I encourage parents to stick with your gut on this one. Im glad I did.

We have thoroughly reviewed the feedback you recently provided about our organization. After conducting an in-depth internal investigation, we could not locate any records confirming an affiliation between you and a child who has attended our establishment. Additionally, our records do not indicate your current or past status as an employee within our organization. Given the absence of any substantiating information, we are compelled to treat your review with skepticism and classify it as potentially misleading. Should you have any legitimate concerns or feedback you wish to discuss, we encourage you to reach out to our designated channels for communication. We value constructive feedback and are committed to addressing any genuine issues that may arise. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Mrs. Golombeski,At Coral Reef Academy, we take all allegations of abuse very seriously. As administrators, we have our eyes on our teachers and classrooms throughout the day, each and every day. The above mentioned teacher has been with our organization for the past year and is known to be a caring and attentive part of our team. Camera footage of the incident as well as additional hours of teacher-child interactions did not show grounds for termination. This aligns with the Police department & DCF's findings that the incident did not warrant further investigation. We do not feel the description above accurately depicts the events that took place, and the snapshot of the incident does not accurately reflect the teacher as a whole. We wish you and your little ones well.
