Hi Amy, I wish you would have told the staff if there was an issue... We are an older motel obviously, but we strive for cleanliness! We are in the process of updating the rooms and working hard to make sure everyone enjoys their stay. I'm sorry yours wasn't a good one.

Rolland, we do not want to lose your business, and I wish you would have voiced your concerns, because I'm sure you noticed we are trying to improve the place! We are making upgrades including remodeling every room with several upgrades including removing the old full-size beds and replacing with new queen-size beds and mattresses. Unfortunately, I realize the inconvenience of not having an ice machine, and have to replace at a big cost so it took time. The soda machine does work, but if you had voiced these concerns to the office, we would have went across the street and bought you a bag of ice or opened the soda machine to make sure you got what you wanted. Same with the room service. If you also want the sheets replaced daily, that is something that isn't done unless requested. As far as cost, from new ownership perspective: We do try to keep prices affordable because we realize it's a small town. Raising the rates by $10 to $75 was necessary to help with upgrades, insurance hikes, and the cost of everything in general. Like any small business, there are challenges, and I would hope that if you like the place and would like to continue to stay, you would show us a little grace and give us another try. We had some major setbacks and cleanup after the hurricane came thru as well, but we are back on track and I personally guarantee the place looks great. I know there aren't many options of places to stay there and we value our regulars, so I hope you will give us another try after so many years of your business! If you aren't satisfied, ask for my number and I will give you a refund.
