Corrupt police officer Michael Downing proceeded to write a citation saying i ran a stop sign and i have dashcam video to prove otherwise. Got stick paying the ticket cause I am a full time student in another state. He attempted to make me admit to something I never did or told me he would write a citation. Eliciting a confession through these means is a form of bribary and a total offense to my 5th amendments rights. Waiting in total darkness partially in a completely unlit road was more unsafe than the violation he alleged. This officer is a disgrace to his force and wanted nothing other than to exert dominance over a civilian. The simple act of me politely disagreeing with is allegations,which is perfectly within my rights, was met with hostility. He claimed i had an attitude for calming stating i didnt run a stop sign and he contstantly tried to instigate an argument and waste my time. Total tyrant.

Said my ticket was taken care of, but they did not do anything about it and it passed the deadline.

Make sure you get pictures, names, receipts, numbers, AND KEEP THEM!!! When dealing with this unprofessional establishment. A friend of mine got a ticket with a court date. We drove to Madison on the date of the appearance (2hr drive) to be told there was no hearing and the ticket in question could not even be found. Relieved we left. Today said friend is locked up for a failure to appear WHEN WE WENT AND WERE TOLD THERE IS NO COURT DATE... Keep a paper trail with these people who obviously cant do their job or are blatantly going out of their way to set people up. Said friend is African American, with that being said I wouldn't be surprised if it is the latter. Dont be like my friend and I trusting these people to do their job correctly. Deserves no stars but that wasnt an option. Do better, hate to see tax payers dollars wasted like this.
