I cannot begin to explain how amazing Walter and his technicians are. I have an extreme fear and phobia of cockroaches and when I saw one in my house, I emailed Walter due to seeing and hearing great things about this company. I explained the situation and he was very understanding and had one of his guys come out the next day! The technician was very professional and polite. He was knowledgeable, diagnosed and explained the problem and addressed all of my concerns. I am so grateful for Walter & this company, I cannot thank you enough!!

Walter and his team were looking after our place for about 2 years. All was good (which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1) - at first they were prompt and courteous, and we had no bugs. Then we had a flea issue while they were taking care of the place. Bear in mind we had 1 inside cat (not a stray, the cat has been with us for over a decade and lived inside the whole time...never had fleas)...our dog had died about six months before the flea issue. We called Walter on a call back for his usual services...After not being able to get them under control Walter demanded we prove to him that our 1 inside cat was on prescription flea meds or else he wouldn't be successful at killing the fleas. This was never mentioned when we signed on...but we went ahead and got the meds. We also weren't told that they weren't treating for fleas until we reported having seen fleas in the house.
Not treating for fleas...? Really...WTH is a bug man for then...just roaches and ants? C'mon man,...bugs are bugs. But okay so like I said we got the cat meds and after we showed Walter the proof...THEN (and only then) did he send his staff back to treat the fleas a third time. These are the fleas that manifested while he was on duty, so to speak. Because the fleas were still present, and I hate bugs...I simultaneously engaged another local pest company to do a back-to-back treatment inside the house. All went back to normal. But, for some reason, I kept Salazar and didn't keep the new guy...loyalty I guess. Big mistake.
Anyways...a few weeks later we find ants on the counter in the kitchen. This was the final straw so to speak...I emailed Salazar to cancel and ended up getting a call back from Walter himself. Very rude and very aggressive. Condescending, belligerent, and downright rude ... All because I asked why I was paying him 180 bucks a quarter and still have bugs. Guess he didn't like that. Anyway, I paid his silly little invoice and hired a real bug man now. Even after I paid his invoice he continues to attempt to explain away his deficiencies by replying to my post.
They do offer free callbacks...but I am old school...do it right the first time, ya know? And plus... we did the call-back thing and they still missed the mark on the return trips to my home.
Let's be clear - I did threaten to reduce my payment to him because he failed to deliver on his promise, and left my family in a bad spot. Despite my objections, he has been paid in full even though he didn't deserve to be compensated in my opinion.
All I know is when push came to shove...these guys missed the mark and then got unprofessional when I called them out on it.

I use the services of Walt Salazar Pest Control and I am thoroughly impressed. Their team is always professional, prompt, and incredibly knowledgeable. They effectively addressed my pest problem and provided helpful tips for prevention. I highly recommend Walts company to anyone in need of pest control services.
