I love The Ivy Fine Art and Tattoo Jaclyn is such an amazing tattoo artist. My husband and I both get tattoos from her. She is so creative and innovative within her designs. She captures and creates tattoos to fit anyone's imagination or what they dreamed of having done. I love her work and her tattoo studio is so sweet.

So Im compelled to leave a review of my friends experience at Ivy Arts. Basically my friend, who for purposes of the review will be called (LP). She booked an appointment while still in NY through messaging the studio, sending photos, + all required criteria and the required $200 deposit. *important info ( The deposit was phoned in since the website payment was glitching). Then receiving confirmation email for the date and time. LP flys into south fl to visit me in Delray. She rents a car for our 4 hour trip to Ivy tattoo. A hotel is rented for our overnight in Clearwater since appointment is 10 am. That morning LP & I arrive at the studio which is closed and about 7 minutes later the owner shows up and is quite awkward to which LP greets & reminds her of her first appt with her. Owner seems surprised. So I wait in the car unwilling to drive away to leave LP since my gut was telling me something was off! Next staff arrives, they gather by desk & are all whispering with concerned expressions while LP & I sit there confused as to what is going on.. Finally the owner says she cannot find her deposit so there is no appointment visible to which LP pulls out bank deposit info stating that she spoke to the receptionist when it was called in and again reminding them of email confirmation. Reception now remembers the appointment but there was never a proper communication to the booked artist/owner,Jaclyn, therefore no sketch was prepared! We got an apology, & told deposit will be returned by 3 business days and an option to return 4 days later! From Delray! 4 hours distance! We then reminded them of all the costs associated with this trip & asked if there was any way they can accommodate the appointment?LP & I tried to say we could come back later as the last appt or the next morning & we were told there is no way they can sketch it so quickly since they take great pride in their art LP is visibly upset sits in the car & I decide I need to go back inside & speak with owner once again, since Im also an artist & former business owner who works with clients & understand there is a better way to resolve mishaps (especially when they occur at the hands of my staff). I reminded the them how important this was to LP & of the monetary loss we incurred to leave with nothing due to the distance of the shop. Unfortunately, I got the same answer & apology. There was no way Jaclyn could work on the tattoo. Smh when you operate a business you have to prepare for everything! Step in & Step up when you have to! I personally would go elsewhere- Florida is filled with excellent tattoo artists.
