Hook Fish and Chicken Express

We ordered the combo, snapper and shrimp with fried okra. The snapper filets were so rotten the plate smelled of pure disgust. Shameless kitchen cook to fry such fish. Literally ROTTEN.

Best Hook I've ever been to, food came out fresh and fast. Customer service by Audrey was above average. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Ordered conch and shrimp one order and conch the other.  The food was so salty and doughy that I called the store and spoke to manager.  She offered a replaced order.  I went the following week and received new order. Just as bad.  I won't go back   I would rather take the drive to west palm and order.  The The two orders was 52 dollars. Don't say you wasn't warned.

I have tried it several times and it was good to start with. My most recent visit will be the last. Over salted to the point of how can you eat that? Chicken was greasy and barely edible. Ate a third of it and gave up even though I was hungry.

Here's my take on Hook Fish and Chicken. First of all, I like the name and the look of the place. Seemed like an interesting place and had high hopes. There were a lot of menu options that sounded good. First issue, this place is expensive. I ended up paying over $30 for my meal. Granted, I did order the fish, wings, and shrimp combo with hush puppies, but these are restaurant prices, and this place is supposed to be a fast food establishment. Second issue, I got here late and was the only customer when I ordered my food. I would say it took around 20 minutes maybe longer to get my order. All of the food I ordered was fried so it shouldn't have taken more than about five maybe 10 minutes way too long of a wait in my opinion.Third issue, all of the condiments were in packets, except for the hot sauce and cocktail sauce. while some may not see this as an issue I think it is because it shows that they don't make their sauces from scratch like other places. it may be easy for them to do this but good condiments make a big difference, especially homemade sauces. Sub quality, condiments can actually make your meal less enjoyable. All of the sauces that weren't in packets were also not tasty in my opinion. Another minus. Fourth issue, my drink was a canned soda. Other fast food places would have probably given me an extra large cup of fountain soda after paying over $30. This place probably doesn't have a soda fountain which tells me they are trying to save money at the expense of the customers. Fifth issue, while I didn't heat my food I also didn't like it. It was mediocre at best for paying over $30 for a mediocre meal is a bit frustrating. This is the type of food I would expect to get from a crappy seafood restaurant. The condiment packets and junk sauces didn't make anything taste better either. In fact it made matters worse. Sixth issue, even though I waited approximately 20 minutes for my food, they forgot to give me the french fries I ordered.  I had to go back to tell them they forgot and then immediately went on the defensive trying to tell me they did it make a mistake when it was obvious they did. I had to show them my receipt and they didn't initially give me an apology, but eventually did. I didn't like the fact that they tried to push it on me as though it was my fault they were quick to not except fault. They at least gave me a lot of french fries to make up for the error. Would I return? No. There are so many other options in the area and for the prices they charge I would rather just go to a legit restaurant and get quality food and service.
