I need help and can't get any from them

They were very friendly. Honey had a Cone after being fixed and she was stressed out. She couldn't eat or drink and kept running into stuff. I woke up next morning to find out she got cone off. I couldn't get it back on cause she hid under couch and was biting me hard. So I ordered a Onesie and prayed she would wear it. Thankfully she did. She's not stressed. I think all Vet's should do that to make it easier on the animals.

The Staff & Doctors at SPCA Florida were incredibly kind to me and my furbaby Vixen during our visit. We had gone for surgery to hopefully fix some of the drastic changes I'd noticed in her appetite & body. Due to her age (at least 10) and physical condition (rapid weight loss), she had a pre-surgery check up with sonogram that revealed she wasn't suffering from just one thing--it was 3. Any one of the 3 would have killed her. Realistically, the choices were to prolong her pain knowing she was dying--or let her rest. It was heartbreaking. I went from having hope to realizing there wasn't any. From believing that there was a chance of recovery, to knowing that today was the day we'd say goodbye. My dog was doomed, and I could see it in black and white on the sonogram screen. They helped her pass in peace in my arms, and comforted me/ helped me breathe after she was gone and I completely lost it. The SPCA did everything they could to make it as easy on me and my dog as possible. They were incredibly compassionate.

Its only 1 star d/t compassionate fund & the nice lady who checked me out today, the lady that sat beside her gave me nasty stares. My dog Sophia is a stray literally had her 3-wks before she went to my dads to be house trained & was injured with bone exposure & needed a tail amputation. The Emergency room was too costly and they gave me a list of low cost facilities that could help, but I paid for emergency room fees, pain meds, antibiotics and a cone. I called to get a quote from SPCA and the lady tells me $565 or something like that. Helping hands in Orlando quoted me $700 so I decided to go with SPCA. My appointment was for a few wks away and I paid $45 deposit but Sophia wasnt eating or drinking at this time. I called back a few days later and the lady says I can add you to the SCHEDULE on I believe it was March 28th and it was at like 230. I DID NOT know it was only for a consultation because that wasnt explained to me. I literally for real thought that when I went at 230 I would be dropping her off for surgery so I left work on my lunch break to take her to find out it was only a consultation. I was upset and kind of rushed the appointment. I was gone for my 30 minute lunch for 2.5 hrs. I did ask for fluids, got a flea pill because even after buying ADAMs flea spray she was COVERED in fleas still after we sprayed her multiple times and I got more pain meds. I paid $176 plus the $45 I had already paid. Im standing at the front to make the payment and the lady is on the phone and Im waiting patiently, she didnt even acknowledge me. She then puts whoever she was on the phone with on hold and was about to get up and figure out whatever it was the customer was asking. So I told her I would call them to pay the bill, then she takes the payment rudely I might add. I called the same day to schedule Sophia for surgery. It goes from $565 to between $1100 and $1300 dollars. I made the appointment but as the appointment got closer Im realizing I cannot pay that. I called and asked if it was anything on the quote that could be removed to save money she said only the spay. My other pup is neutered so I asked that the spay be removed. But the next day I called to cancel the appointment to only be told my appointment for scheduled for the spay not the amputation. Like what!!! I called my vet who told me they could not perform the surgery and told me to use Helping Hands and I mentioned SPCa and they told me they NEVER refer any of their clients to SPCA they always use Helping Hands. So, I started back with Helping Hands who were very nice. Meanwhile someone from SPCA calls me and says they have a compassion fund to help pay for the surgery and I can pay the $500 I was originally told. And she can have surgery. Today was surgery, I drop her off and then a call from the lady that initially checked Sophia in saying I would have to get her spayed because its a requirement of the compassion fund. I was never told that and can not afford that but she very politely stated she wasnt sure and she would check and let me know. This is how it is supposed to be! I end up not having to pay extra The lady who is going over discharge paperwork tells me rudely and almost like talking down to me about Sophia being matted and that I didnt get blood work because I wouldnt stay for the consultation. And that they called me multiple times to get my permission for things and I never answered the phone or called them back very accusatory. This wasnt thru though. They never answer their phone. I uploaded proof that I called them back. They called me at 0805 and at 0806 I called them 3x at 0809. I didnt say anything because I was upset with how she was talking to me and I know I would have blown up at her. Its a lot more to the story but I cant type it all because space is limited. But Im grateful for the compassion fund the staff here does not communicate well with customers, or each other, they never answer the phones and are just rude. I felt really judged by the staff. Now Sophia has to go back in 2 wks for suture removal.

Great thinking on the Onesie, we'll forward the idea to our team to review. We're glad Honey is doing well. She looks very cute in her Onesie.
