Very dissatisfied with iMortgage's level of service throughout the experience of purchasing my first home. My "loan consultant" was 1) difficult to get in touch with, and 2) always rushing me to get docs. to him (which he misfiles, apparently). If you finally DO get in touch with him, he will tell you he needs an answer on something immediately. Excuses left and right... The end result was a delayed closing related to "oversights" on their part. This forced me to pull all of the furniture - that I loaded - back out of a 26 foot truck (I had to return after three days). I ended up paying for Two Men and a Truck to move my belongings days later. I am giving two stars instead of one because iMortgage did end up reimbursing me for the moving expenses as well as an appraisal fee of $475 I paid a few months prior. This was due to the extreme inconveniences. They did have the best offer for me at the time to cover majority of closing costs, but at a .75% interest rate higher than standard FHA. The old saying "beggars can't be choosers" definitely applies here. You get what you pay for; rather, "aren't" paying for... Would I recommend this mortgage lender, unfortunately I would not. Maybe this was all related to the loan consultant I was provided, or maybe it is the company as a whole. I can only speak based off of my direct experience.
