    As a marriott lifetime gold member i have stayed at a lot of courtyards. This particular one should be avoided. I interacted with the front desk, cleaning team and the bar staff and they all clearly didnt want to be there. After writing a complaint to the manager and receiving no reaponse its time to write a public review. Like others have mentioned the rooms are not clean. Internet is dreadfully slow. Alarm clock didnt work. Toilet ran. Shower was rusty. Stay away.

    The public areas are updated and very nice but our room was in need of a complete remodel. I expected more from a hotel that has the Marriott name. The shower curtain wasnt wide enough to stop the water from puddling on the floor. We told the front desk and they said they would take care of it. They replaced the curtain with an identical curtain and left all the wet towels on the floor. When I asked about our room not being serviced that day, they informed us we only service the room every other day. It amazes me how they do that but there is no adjustment for the daily rate they charge. I would not recommend this hotel until they upgrade the rooms.

    I've traveled with the Marriott hotels for many, many years. JW Marriott himself would be Proud and Honored to work beside each of the staff members at This Courtyard in Lake Mary, Florida. The extraordinary hospitality at this property was exactly what Mr. Marriott stood for. My first encounter and experience was when I phoned to inquire about a specific room for my upcoming stay. I am retired and a wheelchair bound US Army Veteran. I needed a room to accommodate my disability. It was my son's 49th birthday, and Daddy was taking him to Disney in nearby Orlando. Debria even fixed a Happy Birthday Poster for my son. She kept his birthday cake in the back office fridge. They lit it and brought it out to the lobby area, with plates and refreshments, and Really surprised him. That's going the extra mile in hospitality for a guest. I spoke with Ciara at the front desk. She was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. Based on her information, I immediately booked two rooms using my Bonvoy app. Being a retired CEO of my own company, I recognize excellent leadership. Fany, the General Manager, and Debria, the Assistant General Manager, is the reason each staff member at this property gets and deserves My 5 Star Rating. You can see the constant leadership in action through the actions of the staff. Ciara, Kaira, Rafael, Latoya, and William were the front desk team members that provided Hospitality Marriott Style. Yolonda (Yolo) was outstanding in the Bistro. First Class food preparation, very clean and organized dining area, great cook, and most excellent service. Attentive to my every want and need. Finally, Nick, the maintenance engineer. Wow!! What a great guy. Very knowledgeable and helpful due to my wheelchair mobility issues. He made sure that I was taken care of. But the management team of Fany and Debria is the key to the teams success. I found out that Ciara, my first contact person, was formerly in housekeeping. She was recognized by management and moved to a front desk position. Most excellent observation and promotion. The management staff leads by example. They show them what is needed. Fany and Debria would never ask the staff to do anything that they would not do themselves. They also pitch right in when a staff member needs something. Very clean and well operated property. And Very Veteran Friendly. I Highly recommend this property to anyone on pleasure, business, activities, and family trips. A very nice choice if you are attending Disney, Universal Studios, or any of the areas attractions. Mr. JW Marriott and I are very Proud of each of You. Rooms: I'm retired and a wheelchair bound US Army Veteran. They have rooms that are ADA accessible to accommodate my needs. Nearby activities: A great location to the many attractions at Disney. Less expensive and easier accessible.

    We woke up after our first night with blood on our sheets. We found out from the exterminator called that the room had bed bugs. We were there for a soccer tournament. My wife had to miss the game and a trip to Universal with the team to wash clothes. The exterminator left our luggage in bags with chemicals to kill the bed bugs. We lived out of plastic bags for the remainder of our stay. No one assisted my wife in cleaning clothes. No service was called for us to aid us in cleaning our luggage etc. my son was ridiculed by other team members due to the bed bugs. We were moved to another room but felt very uncomfortable being there. We learned other rooms had bugs as well. We went home and stripped down naked in 20 degree weather and left all of personal items in the cold. My wife worked for days boiling and disinfecting items. The luggage was thrown out. There are other items such as clothes that were damaged. The hotel manager offered to pay for my wifes michale loots coat that was destroyed by the washer machine and we have not received the check. I made a case with Mariot and first it was closed and they gave me 10k in points which equates to 120 dollars. I was treated like I did something wrong talked down to etc. I just spoke to another manager who says he will work to help me. There is no continuity in one person to speak to. I am giving it this last time and these reviews will be posted all over every trip site. This is no way to treat people that endured that experience. If those bed bugs got in to our house, it would be catastrophic and thousands upon thousands of dollars. I hope they do the right thing

Mr. Rubbo,Again, we are so extremely sorry that this happened. I just spoke with management to discuss your feedback as it was very concerning to me. I am so relieved to know that we provided money and detergent for you and your wife and that our GM even offered to do all of your laundry herself. I am also glad to hear that we compensated you for the damage done to Mrs. Rubbo's jacket as well. Of course, instances like this are not common at our hotel and we deeply apologize for the grave inconvenience.
