The place is ok if you're staying for a short time. They came to be a resort but it's more of a glorified camping ground. It's also becoming more expensive for what the place really offers.

Back in 1973 when it was Patricks fish camp and a tiny lime rock ramp, the water was so crystal clear, you could see hundreds of Bass and Bluegill swimming all around the boat ramp. The lake was white sand bottom and with a mask on, you could see 50ft underwater like a swimming pool! Caught our limit of Bass and huge Copperheads on flyrod every outing. Orlandos Sewage coming out of Shingle creek at 14 million gallons a day ruined the lake. You cant see 4" under the polluted overgrowth that was created from sewage and run off. Sad.. Those days are gone forever....

Besides the management changing for the worse, theres this Australian Karen that moved there, hes always in everyones business. In all seriousness, if youre not from Florida gtfo. We dont want you here.

Beautiful and quiet place, very well cared for and clean, it's a shame that there are no fishing excursions that would be ideal. It also has boat launches and rides. recommendable
