do not go go to a different one! A friend needed stitches. He was traveling from out of the country since he was a tourist They overcharged him ($350 for five stitches) He only got five stitches and was overcharged. We specifically heard them say charge the higher amount. Previously before was called and asked and they said it varies but standard should be $100. I just called the other urgent care down here and they told me the same. Feel scammed

Had a blood lab done by Diany, was very quick, painless and professional. She made it seem like it was nothing, and I hate needles!

100% Recommend! We were on vacation when my 9 yr. old daughter came down with a high fever and sore neck with little response to Motrin/Tylenol and becoming increasingly lethargic. We took her to Dr. Thomas Morrison and staff (Cindy) and they were absolutely amazing and authentically caring, kind, warm, and engaged. Dr. Morrison genuinely interested in finding the cause ran bloodwork onsite (not sent to a separate lab) administered an IV (dehydrated) and provided us with an antibiotic with the following excellent advice "If this is bacterial, she'll be back in the pool by the end of the day, if not, you may want to check her into a hospital." Not being from the area, he recommended children's hospitals to consider if that was our fate. Well, we had to admit her later in the evening to the ER and she ended up being diagnosed with MIS-C (and treated in PICU with IVIG) from having Covid in February (parents, look it up). We are from Houston, TX with some of the best medical care in the world and this place is second to nothing we have in Houston. Seriously. You have a true gem of medical excellence (and personal touch) in Key Largo and everyone should confidentially use this place and Dr. Morrison if you ever have a medical concern. I certainly would without hesitation if I could.

The staff here is generally pleasant, the nurses seem organized and some doctors seem attentive. This review is in regards to Dr Rainer Mederos. This doctor spent less than 30 seconds in the exam room with me, there for a follow up visit on a serious condition diagnosed by (the much more attentive Dr Diaz). Knew none of the symptoms, obviously had not even bothered to look at my chart, and dismissed any word I tried to get in while on his way out the door. For the first time in my 40+ years I walked out of the exam room and requested to come back another day to speak with a different doctor. The staff did not seem too surprised about this either, so I suspect I'm not the first. Keeping a doctor exhibiting this behavior on staff reflects poorly on Advanced Urgent Care, and IMO is a liability. Perhaps Dr Mederos would be better suited to a role outside of patient contact where his efficiency would be rewarded, say, claims review at a health insurance company.
