We took our open water certification class through Silent World and also went on a boat dive with them. Everyone we worked with was helpful and professional. They even received our package of prescription masks for us and had them ready for us when we arrived. Ashlyn was a fantastic instructor and guide. She was helpful, patient, knowledgeable, fun and a great teacher. With her instruction and guidance we felt confident on our first dive, and we saw and learned about some amazing sea creatures! We highly recommend Silent World and we'll be back to dive with them again!

Worst scuba diving experience of my life. 80+ dives in my logbook and I would not recommend only this one. Please don't do a scuba diving course or you will get the wrong idea of what scuba diving is.

We had a great diving experience. Easy booking via phone, very friendly staff (especially our dive guide Kevin), professional organization of the dive and we were lucky to see a hammerhead shark on our dive. At the reef (Elbow Reef) itself we saw plenty of parrot fish, angel fish, a grouper and lobster. From the boat we also saw turtles.

Recently visited Silent World as part of my PADI Open Water Certification dives. We did a two tank dive and I had a great time. Captain Bob, and crew were friendly and helpful and made the enttire trip a breeze. The facilities were clean and well maintained as well as the boat that took us out on our dive. And there was a nice area just to hang out at while waiting to board or after.

I dove this weekend with Silent World, with Gabe as my Dive Master. I had not dove in a year and my last experience wasn't great - so, I wanted my next dive to be with an experienced diver. I knew from the moment I met Gabe that I was going to be in good hands. He had a warm smile, carried himself with confidence, and had no fear in dressing fashionably! He had taken care of all of my gear, but made sure I remembered everything and had me check my gear as well. On the boat ride out he was calm and went thorough a history background of where we were going, the plan for our dive and was knowledgeable about the waters and diving. As the boat slowed down and he told me to "get ready" sea sickness took over me instantaneously. I have gotten sea sick in the past, but had felt find until that moment. When I told Gabe I was gonna be sick he told another dive master (I do NOT know her name, but she is the petite cute one) and she held my tank as Gabe told me to get in the water as soon as possible. As I was just getting off the boat she told me that if I got sick it was ok to get sick in my regulator. (more on that later). So we got in and I immediately felt better, we descended to amazing visibility and a GREAT dive. We saw all kinds of fish, lobsters, an old cannon, a ship wreck, AND the highlight a massive bull shark - which Gabe would have chased down if he could have. The second dive was great as well, I still was not feeling well and at one point Gabe recognized that and just found some sandy bottom and indicated for us to just suspend there which we did. Everyone on the boat was great! And the advice I got that if I had to get sick underwater you can get sick in your regulator actually was sound advice I needed. (I know it sounds gross, but it happens!) Bob, the captain was calm and navigated us to each site and had a few jokes to tell as well. I was originally booked with Blue Water Divers that had boat issues and were kind enough to get me a place with Silent World. Both companies were professional and nice! I would recommend Silent World Dive Center and especially Gabe to anyone that wants to dive in Key Largo! The anxiety I had about diving from my past dive is now gone even with having to deal with not feeling amazing the whole time! Go visit them!
