Caribbean Shores Waterfront Resort

I stayed here a little over a year ago for a few months until our move in was ready. Seriously, do not stay here. It starts with Tom who has no customer skills and will make your life difficult. He has to own the place because what owner would have him run down their business? Yes, the rooms smell musty, ac filters are dirty as heck and there were childrens silverware in the kitchen to use and he told us to go to the dollar store. I had words with him and he took the free laundry room rights away that were included in what we were paying, I called the police and when they arrived they mentioned they have been there on many occasions regarding Tom, and that because it is run, as an Airbnb, Tom has the right to cancel your stay at any time and you would have to leave. This place is a nightmare on every level. The water view is great, that is the only positive attribute here. And by the way, its far from an Airbnb experience, its a poorly run motel

When confronted about the power not being on in the rooms upon arrival, Tom stated I dont know and said that he no longer wanted us to stay there over the phone and then proceeded to hang up. Very unprofessional I couldnt recommend this experience to anyone Noteworthy details: Tom the manager is unprofessional and discriminatory. My pregnant fianc and I were booking this place to stay for the month and as we asked questions Tom got very defensive and when we asked about any other fees he came up with the fact that the hotel rooms do not come with power! Ive never heard of that before! And we ourselves have to contact fpl and put down a deposit through them to turn the power to our room on? Tom is a con artist and a liar.

I do not recommend this hotel. Tom the manager was rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. We never received any contact from the hotel with information regarding check in. There is not office and I had to walk the premises in hopes of finding this manager Tom, which I did and he just rudely sent me to my room which was just unlocked. It was odd. Our tv did not work. Tom did not respond to multiple calls and texts regarding the tv. Friends that were also staying here had tvs that did work. Our room had a musky smell, somewhat mildewy, liking coming from the window unit air conditioner. Theres no housekeeping, which we may have known, still it should be noted because I felt like our room was not clean upon arrival. There was no way to request more towels, pillows or anything. The bed was awful. Absolutely cannot believe that we spent money on this hotel and were sleeping on a broken mattress. It dipped in the middle and any movement created squeaking sounds. Although the view of the water from the back of the hotel is gorgeous, its not enough to make me ever want to stay here again. Check out was just as odd as check in - we were directed to leave our key in the room. That was all. That had me feeling uncomfortable since now any person can just go into the room. But we were eager to leave so we just left the key and the door unlocked as directed by printed instructions in the room. Safety was somewhat of a concern as well. At midnight one night a man was outside our room talking for 30 minutes. I opened the door and asked him to move or quiet down and he started cussing at me. His wife apologized and took him into their room, still it was beyond uncomfortable. Again, this place is a NO.

Wish I was able tell you about my stay but unfortunately Tom was absolutely unhelpful, unfriendly and as unprofessional as they come. We called the office from the parking lot for a week/month long comparison rates. Not only wouldn't he give us any information over the phone but when he blocked us in with his vehicle and slight attitude we simply suggested that he could be a little friendlier and his reply was a

Very very nice rooms and good service. The view from the back is absolutely breathtaking and there is a pier that the hotel resorts share and you can fish off of it or swim. Very beautiful. You can catch many jack fish Nearby activities: Lots of fun nearby Walkability: Very walkable to many places
