Decided to use a new tax preparer and settled on Ned Jackson for our previous year's return. They have a office that's open downtown year round and seemed to have a robust amount of services in case something complicated tax related comes up since we sold/purchased a property within the past year. I arrived on a Saturday and the lobby was full. Found out they did not take appointments so I decided to wait. A little more than two hours later it was our turn to have our taxes filed. Not sure how their fee works, but I paid the most I've ever paid to have our taxes file. I overheard two other people pay, but ours was a couple hundred dollar more. There was nothing complicated minus itemizing some things, but sesh... Going to look for a new place to file our taxes next year.
