I had my doubts but I truly was in and out in 20 mins with a copy of my birth certificate

I had a lovely experience here. The security guard at the front was kind and helpful. I got there before they opened and there was no wait time. The lady at the desk who helped me with getting my birth certificate did it with a quickness. I have never had such a lovely experience at a government office. highly recommend getting there early to get in and out.

I have checked to see if they can give me a copy of the book, I am looking for a birth certificate with the information of the hospital where I was born, etc. and they have not given me an answer. Answer: I have already sent emails and they have not answered me, just as I have marked, I just want to know if they can send me a certified copy of the copy of the book or do I have to go personally to get it. Thank you.

First off, vitalchek in Florida is a joke and they need to stop having a monopoly on ordering online birth certificates. I needed my birth certificate to get a new ID to get needed medical care. I was basically told I was SOL. I was also told well you can have a parent order for you. I tell the lady my mom is dead and my dad is an abuser who destroyed my birth certificate to begin with. This entire situation started because I was being abused prior to my marriage. "Well, you should still call him or we can't help you." NOT okay! I go through Tampa Bay's office which is the city where I was born and they messed up. Don't pay them for rush processing...EVER. I ordered a replacement birth certificate in November and I didn't receive it until March 16. Why? Well first I was sent the wrong form (I live out of state). I get a letter asking me to call this particular office. I do and I'm told that I can't put my married name on my birth certificate. I correct that one quick because that's not what I was trying to do. I'm also told I overpaid so they will send two. I don't believe this because I photocopied that form before I sent it. It a birth certificate order form, clear as day, still have it. Okay, fine. The certificates never showed up. I ended up in that time having to move to be closer to the hospital because I couldn't get medical care that I needed at an actual doctor's office because of all these ridiculous delays. I contacted them again saying I want to file a complaint and I'm told the certificates were mailed on January 30. That ticked me off because on January 17 I had been told they were being sent out that week so the lady I spoke with straight up lied to me. Nothing was forwarded from my old address and I'm friends with my previous landlord and he checked the mailbox just in case AND went through the ring camera footage. Nothing. I don't believe those first certificates were ever sent. I'd already received a letter from this office at that address so I know they have the correct address. I was actually in the hospital after suffering a cardiac event while dealing with it this last time. I mention that I'm in contact with a lawyer (who says this ridiculousness is common in Florida because she's had to step in and file suit before) and ready to put a down payment down and suddenly, POOF, birth certificates are actually sent out and arrive within five days. Still in contact with that lawyer and debating filing a lawsuit against the state over all of this because I've suffered lasting medical harm and distress because of their incompetent behavior. And I can prove all of this. Do better, Florida.
