I would give Dr. Refai 10 stars if I could... One of the best medical professionals in JAX and the most thorough mental health MD I've ever worked with. Dr. Refai genuinely cares and is incredibly knowledgeable.

They arent scheduling appointments till September. I asked, what do you do, if someone needs to see a therapist soon? Are you in crisis?, she asks. I said, if you mean am I about to kill myself, no. She got defensive, when I said mental patients typically need to be seen sooner, and I told her I wasnt blaming her, but wanted to know if there were any other options. There werent. I said thank you and she hung up on me, before if could finish my sentence. If this is who you have greeting mental therapy patients, throw the whole practice away.
