We moved with this company a month ago to our new house. First, they showed up two hours late. Second, though given a walk through and seeing the house for themselves, they decided they would need a second truck (which they did not bring and the movers there had to argue for). I had to wait over an hour for the second truck to arrive after the first truck left with my husband. There was zero communication between the two truck drivers, much to the lead truck drivers dismay (he did try). When leaving and we gave them a tip (As is customary) one could not figure out his Venmo and had me send the money to the wrong guy (which was refunded). I tried again, but could not find his contact info. After which, he called or texted me twice asking about his tip. After all of this, we noticed that one of our antique pieces of furniture (a china hutch that is 100 years old) had been badly damaged. We found the claim form and, after multiple tries, found one person who would do quote via pictures as MoveDay Movers would not reimburse you for a quote yet no one would do a quote for an insurance situation for free. When we finally were able to submit the claim, Move Day Movers did not respond. After a week, I called and made sure they received the paperwork (they did) and that it was filed correctly (it was). I was told I would here back from them by the end of the next business day. It is three days later and I have heard nothing. I call and either get a generic voicemail, a women who says she is trying to get results (which I do believe she is) but no one is responding, or noone at all. The repairs are over $600 and I cannot use my furniture until it is done. All I wanted was a simple move. This has been anything but.
