Royal Paws Pet Relocation Transportation

I had an excellent experience with Royal Paws moving my dog Diamond from New York to California! This is the first time I have moved with a pet and I was never concerned about Diamond's well being at any point during the process. I can't recommend Royal Paws enough! Diamond is a 7 year old, 65lb American Staffordshire Terrier who loves people but is dog reactive so we went with private transportation. LUXURY!! It was nice knowing she'd be the only dog and that two people would be caring for her. The estimate and booking process was very simple and straightforward. We booked about 5 weeks in advance and our drivers called a few days before to introduce themselves and go over details. Brad handled the estimate and was really friendly, and our drivers Eric and Bernice were so lovely. They give off such great vibes and I felt totally at ease leaving Diamond with them! Diamond had free rein of the van and all of her belongings with her. Eric and Bernice were really attentive to her needs, and Diamond seemed to love them (she was even cuddled up with Bernice on the back seat while she slept!) They sent photos and videos throughout the trip, and always kept me updated with their location. They picked her up and dropped her off exactly when they said they would, and the entire trip across the country only took two days!! TWO DAYS! I'm happy I found Royal Paws and we really lucked out with having such amazing drivers. If we ever move again we'll definitely use them! Service: Vehicle transport

I had a great experience in moving my older cat from Central Florida to Virginia via Royal Paws. I filled out the online quote form, got the quote and got the date set with ease. The transport team contacted me the day before the trip then checked in just before arrival the day of the trip to make sure I was ready. They took care in getting my cat into a transport cage and in getting food and water in place for him, loaded some items that needed to travel with him and set off on the dot. My wife and I received regular texts with pictures keeping us updated on progress. We were notified of a highway traffic delay and then that happily they had gained a little time after traffic cleared. Our cat arrived at our new apartment where my wife was waiting at almost the exact time anticipated. The transport team, Harold and Tish, were wonderfully polite and considerate.

I used Royal Paws to transport our large dog twice. To and from NY to LA They were fantastic! Kind, caring, careful. Kept us informed during the trip w/photos, updates. I HIGHLY recommend it, as does our dog, Shadow!

We had a horrible experience with Royal Paws. I still have not recovered from it, and it's been 6 months. We hired the company in May for a within-Canada move in August. We initially asked for a bunch of quotes in Canadian $, as we were unsure of our dates and the number of pets who would need to be moved. Based on the owner's advice, we made a new quote when we finally learned about our final dates. We were in the middle of organizing a long distance move and just had our new baby, so let's say that we were cross eyed and did not realize that he had increased the original quote by 900$! It was based on his advice that we had to make a new quote after learning the date. We called him; he sounded like we wanted to rob him...We settled on a mid-range price between the original quote and the one with the final date, even though we were the ones getting screwed in the process. Then we paid the deposit...and we discovered on our card statement that he had taken the money in US$ instead of CA$. With the exchange rate, this was pretty much almost covering the full price. Called the owner again. Got yelled at, insulted, and he said again that we wanted to rob him. So he cancelled on us 3 days before the delivery date of our beloved pets, even though we, the humans, had already moved. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, especially if you are needing a move across Canada. The owner is not true to this word, and then, he points the finger at you and will keep your pets hostage. See conversation in my photos. I BEGGED him not to cancel, and told him we would pay whatever he wanted even in US$, even though he had originally agreed to send quotes in CA$. He did not budge. We ended up going with our local petsitter in Winnipeg (Amber's All Breed Grooming), who saved the day and travelled to bring them to us. We paid her the same amount we had agreed on with this unbelievably dishonest man, and even set her up in a nice hotel with a pool on top of that. We are so grateful to her, and would advise anyone to run, run, run from Royal Paws. No one deserves to go through the ordeal of not knowing if they'll ever see their pets back. The only regret we have is that there are not enough competitors for them. I so wish there were honest companies providing the same service.
