We signed up to get the Maintenance plan with Weather Engineers and the first person came out and did the maintenance. At the end of the visit, we asked about our drain line for the HVAC unit and how to fix the issue we've been having with it backing up in the summer time; it's a fairly long distance between the unit and the outside of the house and the amount of moisture that drains is a lot in the hot months. The tech advised we should look into getting a condensation pump. He put the info in to the office and said they would contact us. Received a call that a service tech was available to come same day to install the condensation pump. When Joe arrived, we explained why we were choosing to do this. Joe was under the impression he was replacing a condensation pump and not installing one, which changed things. Before he continued to do the install, he wanted to run some diagnostics to see what was causing the drain to back up. He was at our house probably around 4 hours running this test and that test with my assistance. I won't lie, I was a bit irritated at the process and just wanted my drain to properly do its job. But I allowed Joe to continue doing his due diligence. All along the way he explained what he was doing and why. At the end of it all, he found there was quite a bit of buildup sludge in the drain, that he removed. Then he looked at the drain pipe under the house, reluctantly suiting up to crawl under (sketchy crawlspace no one wants to go under) where he found that the AC company we had install the unit had not properly installed the drain at an angle that would assist in draining. He fixed that problem as well. So after hanging out with us all afternoon, he was done and confident the drain would work properly this summer. I appreciated his constant communication with us and that he went above and beyond what most people would do to fix this issue without it costing us even more money in the same day we had maintenance done on the unit and we were not charged for the service. Weather engineers is a great company. Jassn just completed my six month maintenance and he did a superb job. He is professional and completed the job in an outstanding manner. I highly recommend weather engineers and Jasen!
