I came to Darbys Dungeon for two things. One, I wanted to pick up a rulebook, DM guide, and monster manual, plus some dice. I was also hoping to find some friendly and knowledgable people who would be willing to help me figure out what I needed to play my first ever tabletop game, as the world of pen and paper gaming can be overwhelming to newcomers such as myself. I did not find anything I needed at Darbys Dungeon. I looked around for a minute to find the books I needed, and came up emptyhanded. Even though there were only two people in the room besides me, nobody offered to help, asked what I needed, nothing beyond a cursory hey as the door chime went off. After a few minutes of browsing in silence I took the hint that newcomers or outsiders are simply not welcomed at this establishment. Shame, because its a cute setup. Just wish they were more helpful/welcoming.

Darbys is the place to be! I go here for board game nights with buddies, and for the occasional holiday. Get yourself a beer or latte, and let the dice roll. Darby is super friendly as well as all her staff. Try out the most of the boardgames on the wall before you invest in one to take to your other parties. If you need brakes or tires repaired or replaced, drop it off at Mavis next door and have a board game day with your friends.
