I found Makofka & Makofka during the worst part of an almost 3yr prolonged divorce. My case was extremely complex and for no logical reasoning, I found out that my previous lawyer of 2 years did nothing at all with regards to filing affidavits, motions, child support... the list goes on! Long story short my case was about to go before a Magistrate in less than 2 months when David Makofka accepted to handle this nightmare. I had went thru at least 30 different lawyers that would not touch my case deeming it a "red flag." Apparently, laws have changed and my case was so special that no-one had even heard of someone filing a case like mine in over 26 years (said my judge) and Mr. Makofka was extremely intrigued on the matter as well since he had not seen a case like mine played out. After taking the time to go over my case he accepted such a challenge. But he put me in a hot seat while he needed to give it thought and investigate further into the dockets. I was skeptical because of my previous counsel doing absolutely nothing, and when he called me to say YES ill take it and he broke everything down verbatim. When i say he researched my case... he was not only 100% honest but he knew EVERYTHING!! Down to the detail. His analogies are real. And he picks apart everything as if life could be as easy as peeling an orange. If only! right? but for real that's how he makes you feel. He knew my only concern has and always will be the safety and well-being of my children. I did not even have to tell him all the reasons why, because he researched... Everything! So, if your someone who feels like you have been kicked through the dirt, conformed to others yet been taken advantage of, or dragged through horrific divorces that seem to have no end and you need the law in your hands... David Makofka is your Right-hand man. He's not that lawyer you just want or that you would want to run into in the courtroom, he the lawyer you NEED to walk in with you, and fight for what's right! Crazy thing is i will finally have my life back sooner than ever imagined... my story ends with no court and an offer being made before Mr. Makofka would have submitted evidence on a response to summary judgement. There's not a dollar amount we can put on the time lost but instead look at the investment you get to make for yourself and or your children for the future!
