Georgeta and Lily, owners of Sew True Alterations are Simply the BEST!!! Most definitely 5 STARS from the moment you walk through their door with your special alteration needs. I have found them to be very professional, talented, friendly and honest over the many years I have worked with them. Just yesterday, I picked up my mother of the groom evening gown that Georgeta worked tirelessly on replacing numerous tiny glass cylinder beads that had fallen off. She had to sew them on by hand and intricately place them so that they would blend into the existing pattern to look as though they were never missing. Georgeta once again worked her gifted magic so beautifully!!!! She assured me that she would be able to do this challenging artistic task for me and I would be very pleased- which I am!!!!! . In addition to the one by one replacement of the beading she also had to take this same Mac Duggal designer gown apart and re-make it so it would fit me so nicely as if it were custom made for me from the start! Her finished work is gorgeous!!!! Im beyond thrilled and so very happy with Sew True Alterations over and over again! I highly recommend Sew True Alterations. They are the most professional and skilled alterations specialists in the Jacksonville area. I use them exclusively for easy as well as complicated alterations.We're lucky to have them.

The lady that I brought my prom dress from recommended me this place and said they were the best place. I disagree completely. The staff was very rude. When talked to on the phone they asked when the prom was and didnt say any problem with the date. When I went today for my appointment, she already seemed not interested to do it before even opening the bag to see the dress. Then when opened the back and saw there was beadwork she quoted me 250 dollars just to get it hemmed (without the shoulder piece I needed fixed also) and said she has to take off every bead individually, there would be glue residue on my dress, and that it was hard. I then made a comment about how the lady I brought my prom dress from made it sound simpler than that and she said well she only tried to sell it she doesnt care bc she doesnt do the alterations. I also needed my shoulder to be taken up and some off, and she seemed like that also was too difficult for her. I tried on the dress and she admitted that I did need some taken off the shoulder and bottom. I then put back on the dress and she said you can shop around if you want and we asked if she had any availability if we wanted to come back and she said No we dont Im booked up and Im getting my eye done and will be gone for 2 weeks. The crazy part is when she asked what day prom was she didnt care over the phone, but then she said it wasnt enough time. The customer service isnt good. I would go to a different place if I were you.

I had great experience and got the clothing back very fast. I highly recommend this shop for any alterations needs.
