My wife & I are from Fort Lauderdale, up here visiting our daughter who is stationed here in the Navy... so we decided to try this place out just by Google... let me tell you, AWESOME experience at this fine establishment... from the ambiance/view, service from Hassan (& other staff) & the fantastic food!!! Thank you for the great experience!!!

Caelen was my server today and he was spectacular. In Jacksonville on business and haven't had the best service in town, frankly. This morning I was really tired and just really wanted to have a tasty fresh fish sandwich in a restaurant on the water. Mavi knocked it out of the park. The food was great, but it was honestly Caelen that made the difference.

Well, after running around Jax Beaches during the festival on 4/7/24 we decided to make a run to Mavi's (after several other options). Here's the deal - and I live in Neptune Beach so I already knew this. You are absolutely paying for the water location. You have to understand the rent must be outrageous. So, you have to cut back where you can. My boyfriend had the Mahi fish sandwich and I, the Salmon wrap. I crossed my fingers. The wrap is cut into two and initially, looks promising. But when you bite into it? It's crumbles! Crumbles...of fish??? Not a piece of salmon in a wrap, but like....pieces you might discard but say "hey, we can make a wrap with this and charge $17!!" Seriously, that is exactly what happened. When I took a bite, crumbles fell into the fries (so I guess charge me more for fish fries - hah-hah). Good grief. And the Mahi tasted very overly frozen (I mean, d-uh, they are not advertising it fresh). Very disappointed and will not be back for the fish crumble wrap....this place - in their defense - will always be difficult to provide quality food with the price they are paying for the lease.
