If you're a "Buyer," steer clear of "Team Generations"... they are only looking out for their best interest and perhaps, the interest of the sellers. Our Agent, Karen, couldn't coordinate a final walk through for us before our Closing, so even though when we were at the signing table she reassured us in front of our Lender and the Escrow person at the Title Company to hold back her commission check until we have the walk through and are satisfied, it was dark when we finally got to the house.
The first thing we noticed when we entered our new house with Karen was the drapes and curtain rods had been removed by the sellers AND a built in bench and coat racks had been ripped off the wall. She asked us what we felt it was worth to replace them...we gave her a figure ($450) and told her we would have to revisit the conversation in the morning when we could clearly see the condition of the house.
The following morning, I did come back to clearly see the condition of the yards had not been maintained, the house was filthy and the bench had in fact been mounted to the wall and the base boards had been damaged additionally by the removal of the bench. I itemized the damages and sent her a bill that was more than fair for stuff we should have been compensated by the Sellers for and instead, Karen offered us $200 and to only speak with her attorney now.
Over $15,000 was earned on our transaction by "Team Generations" and instead of making sure we (the Buyers) were properly taken care of, she tells us to take the $200 and contact her Lawyer! There are thousands of Agents in the Jacksonville area. Find someone else! If I could rate these folks with "0" instead of 1 star....I would!
